Quality Engineer Job Summary
- Pay: $76,000–$80,800 annually DOE
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Investigate product defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to improve processes and product quality
- Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
- Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Assist with process validation, PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and continuous improvement projects
- Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Previous Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with ISO standards, auditing, and quality documentation preferred
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- ASQ certification preferred, but not required
- Manufacturing and office environment
- Frequent interaction with production teams and plant operations
- May require standing, walking the production floor, and occasional lifting
