Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $27–$35/hr

• 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• C Shift: Thu–Sun, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• D Shift: Thu–Sun, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  
  

The Utilities and Process Technician is responsible for operating, repairing, and performing preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance for facility process and environmental systems. This role monitors critical utilities and process equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utilities and process systems including:
• HVAC systems
• Chillers
• High-pressure boilers
• Compressed air systems
• Purified water generation systems
• Mixing skids
• Cleanrooms
• Serve as the first responder to equipment alarms, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, log readings, and ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and OSHA requirements.
  

Secondary Duties (with training provided)

• Gain proficiency in maintenance and pharmaceutical terminology and principles.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Neptune and ETQ Reliance.
• Support compliance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
• Operate Building Management Systems (BMS/EMS SCADA).
• Use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and HMI systems for communication and reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including schematic and technical drawing reading.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (VOM, AC manifold gauges, etc.).
• Ability to document and communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations.
• Preventive maintenance expertise, with ability to detect patterns and analyze mechanical issues.
• Strong oral and written communication with management, peers, and vendors.
• Knowledge of safety practices, PPE requirements, and hazard recognition.
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to work from heights (ladders, scaffolds, lifts, rooftops).
• Comfortable working outdoors occasionally.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to gown for cleanroom entry.
• Ability to interface professionally with vendors.
• Adherence to all company safety rules and policies.
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent industrial experience.
• 3 years of experience in a maintenance/manufacturing environment.
