Design Automation Specialist Job Summary
- Pay: Starting at $75,000 annually
- Location: Louisville, KY
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week; occasional overtime may be required to meet project needs
- Create, maintain, and organize custom Autodesk Inventor parts and assemblies within Vault for fabrication teams
- Lead development of Inventor & Vault processes with automation (iLogic, PowerShell, CoolOrange, etc.), including creation of parametric parts and assemblies
- Maintain standard design processes for internal and external teams, supporting manufacturing workflows
- Implement Inventor & Vault to streamline design-to-manufacturing information transfer
- Integrate design data into ERP systems for reporting purposes
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to design process improvements
- Develop knowledge of products and suggest value engineering improvements
- Communicate design automation processes to ensure clear understanding across teams
- Bachelor’s degree (manufacturing, construction, architecture, engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting and Design preferred
- Proven experience in designing automation and workflows for parametric assemblies and parts
- Understanding of manufacturing/design practices and structural framing requirements
- Experience managing software implementation (Inventor or similar) for design/manufacturing workflows
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and CAD; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office
