Machinist (Direct Hire)

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, is seeking experienced Machinists to join their team! These are direct hire opportunities offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth in a high-production manufacturing environment.

Machinist Job Summary

• 2 – 1st Shift
• 1 – 2nd Shift
  
  

Pay: $20–$30/hr (based on experience)

Shift Premium: 10% for 2nd Shift

• Repair, rebuild, and manufacture production equipment and machine parts
• Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to tight tolerances
• Perform machining operations including setup, inspection, and adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers
• Support production uptime through equipment repair and preventative maintenance
• Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, and surface grinders
• Train and support less experienced machinists as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards
  
  

Machinist Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
• Journeyman or master-level machinist experience preferred
• Strong experience with manual and CNC machining
• Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances
• Experience with machine repair, equipment rebuilds, and preventative maintenance
• Proficient with precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers
• Experience in automotive, stamping, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
