Long-Term Project/Contract

Join the team of a leading medical device manufacturer on a long-term remote project supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing product designs. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong Design History File (DHF) and Design Controls experience who enjoys collaborating across engineering, quality, and regulatory teams while making an impact on products already in the field.

What You'll Do

• Review, author, and maintain Design History Files (DHFs) for existing medical devices.
• Identify documentation gaps and ensure design records are complete and compliant.
• Manage engineering documentation and workflows using Vault.
• Update and maintain risk management documentation, including DFMEAs and risk analyses.
• Coordinate and participate in cross-functional design reviews with Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
• Perform functional relationship analyses (FRA) and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Develop protocols for Design Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
• Update engineering drawings, specifications, and other design documentation as needed.
• Support post-market engineering initiatives and continuous product improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience authoring and maintaining Design History Files (DHF) for medical devices.
• Strong understanding of Design Controls and medical device documentation requirements.
• Experience with risk management, including DFMEA and risk analysis.
• Familiarity with Vault document management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting Design Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
