Automation Maintenance Technician

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading consumer products manufacturer in North Andover, MA, is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to join their team! This is a high-volume manufacturing environment with advanced automated equipment, including injection molding machines, vision systems, and other automation technologies.

Automation Maintenance Technician Job Summary

• Pay: $40.00 – $46.00 per hour, based on experience
• Shifts Available:
• 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday
• 6:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and technical support on injection molding machines, automated equipment, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, providing short- and long-term solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance history and documentation for all equipment.
• Support production by coordinating with shift personnel and providing technical guidance.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  
  

Automation Maintenance Technician Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3 years of experience in automation and manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with injection molding machines, automation systems, vision systems, and electrical systems
• Proficiency in PLC programming and electrical controls
• Strong mechanical aptitude, general machining skills, and familiarity with hydraulics
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a focus on quality
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; reach, kneel, crawl, and climb as needed
• Stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, grease, and oils
• Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice
