We are seeking a detail-oriented Fragrance Laboratory Technician to support fragrance development and application activities in a dynamic laboratory environment. This role is ideal for someone with a chemistry or fragrance-related background who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, technical problem-solving, and collaborating with creative and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fragrance applications in a variety of product bases to support creative and development projects.
- Ensure accuracy, precision, and quality in all laboratory preparations and testing.
- Serve as a laboratory point of contact for assigned customer projects.
- Manage sample requests and fragrance oil ordering.
- Perform physical and chemical testing and measurements.
- Assist with updating technical documentation and laboratory records.
- Prepare internal laboratory bases and formulations.
- Perform color matching and recommend dyes based on customer requirements.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot standard laboratory equipment.
- Record, analyze, and communicate test results accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer inventory samples and retained project submissions.
- Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Support and mentor junior technicians and trainees as needed.
- Assist technical, sales, and development teams with product application support and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate fragrance stability and product performance through physical and sensory testing.
- Degree or higher education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably within fragrance, flavor, cosmetic, personal care, or chemical industries.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques, good laboratory practices (GLP), and safe chemical handling procedures.
- Basic understanding of fragrance formulation, application, and perfumery principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform color matching and sensory evaluations.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
