Job Description
Position Summary: Lead and supervise production personnel utilizing procedures and work instructions to meet or exceed customer and company requirements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Position Responsibilities:
• Team leadership for assigned team leaders and employees.
• Create a positive results-oriented work environment through coaching and mentoring of team leaders and
employees.
• Serve as liaison between employees and company.
• Ensure safe and issue free work environment.
• Maintain and improve production performance processes through waste reduction, problem solving and
continuous improvement activity.
• Understand, comply, and enforce the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurements, IATF 16949, ISO-
14001 requirements, Continuous Improvement, SAP, ZF policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Problem solving skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations
• Ability to use (personally) and train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment
• Basic knowledge of plant operations management and lean principles, processes, and techniques.
• English language competency
• Availability and flexibility schedule (e.g. weekends) to meet customer requirements.
Preferred Skills and experience:
• Associate Degree strongly preferred
• Strong Technical skills (CNC Programming, Trouble shooting, etc.).
• Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities.
• Strong skills and work experience in lean manufacturing (ZFPS, TPS, 5S, Continuous improvement).
• Experience with SAP, MS Project, other project management and statistical analysis software.
