About the Team
You’ll join a collaborative, customer-focused quality team dedicated to driving product excellence from design through production, working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. The team is committed to continuous improvement, proactive problem-solving, and delivering high-quality solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
What you can look forward to as Customer Quality Engineer:
- Participates in the development of Process and Design FMEA’s.
- Recommend design and manufacturing method changes to new products.
- Perform technical support and analyses to resolve product problems as they occur in the manufacturing process
- Work with customer warranty and quality personnel to analyze, track, and troubleshoot defective returned parts.
- Improve customer satisfaction by investigating customer complaints, proposing improvements, validating corrective actions
- Lead the resolution of repetitive or customer claims with root cause analysis and LLC at suppliers; (for warranty and merchandised goods)
- Ensure conclusion of Quality Assurance Agreements (QAA) for all assigned suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Buyers
- Lead all necessary tasks of the CQP including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Your profile as Customer Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP, particularly warehouse or manufacturing modules, preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in core automotive quality standards and tools, including APQP, PPAP (AIAG), PPA (VDA 2), SPC, MSA, FMEA, and root cause analysis methods (8D, Pareto, Fault Tree Analysis)
- Knowledge of quality management systems and auditing standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 19011
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management (PLM), Product Safety Act requirements, and process documentation (work instructions, control plans)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measurement/control equipment, along with strong MS Office skills
