Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of bills, invoices, and credit card expenses. This employee will be responsible for maintaining accurate bank balances by managing the incoming bank transactions as well as assisting in month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor AP mailbox and promptly respond to vendor and employee questions
- Record vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Process payments by check
- Reconcile vendor statements/systems to accounts payable
- Ensure company policies and process related to accounts payable are followed
- Record bank transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
- Apply revenue deposits as per guidelines provided
- Identify and implement process improvements or automation
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or prior experience in Accounts Payable and Cash Application preferred
- Experience with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) preferred
- Effective communicator with ability to work collaboratively
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Detail oriented, organized, innovative and resourceful
- Possesses analytical and auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile accounts
