We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our finance team in Orem, UT. This individual will play a critical role in managing payroll, general accounting, invoicing, and compliance requirements for our staffing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Paylocity payroll, QuickBooks, Bullhorn Time & Expense reporting, AR financing, and payroll certification for prevailing wage contracts. This is a full-time, in-office position requiring both technical expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Manage and process bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity.
- Ensure accurate time entry, approval, and reporting using Bullhorn Time & Expense.
- Maintain compliance with prevailing wage contracts and complete required payroll certifications.
- Support employees and managers with payroll-related inquiries.
General Accounting
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks.
- Manage AP/AR processes, including invoice preparation, collections, and payment posting.
- Support financial reporting and audits as needed.
Client Billing & Invoicing
- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices.
- Ensure billing aligns with contract terms, time reporting, and client approvals.
- Coordinate with operations teams to resolve discrepancies in client invoicing.
AR Financing & Cash Flow
- Prepare and submit AR financing reports and schedules for funding.
- Reconcile lender statements and support compliance with financing agreements.
- Assist with cash flow tracking, projections, and reporting.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with state and federal wage regulations.
- Prepare certified payroll reports for government and prevailing wage projects.
- Support internal controls, policies, and process improvements to strengthen financial accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the staffing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of:
