Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Laramie, Wyoming. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality emergency nursing care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide emergency nursing care, including assessment, treatment, monitoring, and evaluation of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel while ensuring quality patient care.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and prioritize patient needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required continuing education.
Requirements
- Active Wyoming RN License in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED/ER) RN experience.
- Current BLS Certification.
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP preferred (or willingness to obtain per facility requirements).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Pay: $2,550.00 - $2,650.00 per week
