Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Social Services for a 13-week assignment in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing leadership, coordinating social service programs, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Experience working with the geriatric population in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the facility's Social Services department.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide counseling, emotional support, and advocacy for residents and their families.
- Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate access to community resources.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and promote resident rights and well-being.
- Supervise and support social services staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience working with the geriatric population, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Current Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,100.00 per week
