Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation for a 13-week night shift contract. This role involves caring for patients recovering from complex medical conditions, including neurological and stroke-related cases, in a fast-paced inpatient rehab setting. The unit functions similarly to a medical floor, offering the opportunity to build strong clinical and patient-care skills while working with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide patient and family education and instructions
- Use clinical judgment to identify and report changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation using EPIC EMR
- Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience in Inpatient Rehab or Neuro/Stroke care preferred
