Nurse Practitioner (NP)/ Physician Assistant (PA)

We are a Primary and Urgent Care Medical Practice with state of the art facility. We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) for Full time, Part time and Per diem roles for the Urgent Care center.

Competitive salary for full & part-time mid-levels. No night coverage or on-call required. We have attractive work hours of 9 am- 5 pm, 7 days a week.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an MD onsite and other healthcare professionals. There will be direct access to the facility owners and managers without any bureaucratic structure.

Location: Zenith Primary and Urgent Care, Marlborough, MA

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.

- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.

- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.

- Provide preventative care and health education to patients and their families.

2. Clinical Procedures:

- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures (e.g., X-rays, lab tests).

- Conduct minor surgical procedures and wound care as needed.

- Administer vaccinations and other injections.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient care and treatment plans.

- Document patient visits, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and promptly.

4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.

- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and healthcare standards.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Professional Development:

- Stay current with medical knowledge and advancements by participating in continuing education opportunities.

- Maintain professional licensure and certifications as required.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

- Current licensure as a PA or NP in Massachusetts.

- Certification from a recognized certifying body (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, AANP/ANCC for NPs).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

- Strong clinical skills in primary and urgent care. Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

- BLS certified.
