Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machines Operator with expertise in HAAS machines to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machine setup, and operation within a fast-paced production environment. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality output and efficient workflow.
Duties
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines, lathes, and other CNC equipment according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and interpret G-code.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precise components.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions.
- Adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters to optimize machining processes.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly line tasks, or packaging as needed to support production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating HAAS CNC machines; proficiency with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes is essential.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with CAM software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T specifications.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, fixtures, press brake machines, stamping presses, welding, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar for part design or modifications.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining processes.
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is a plus.
