Lead CNC Machine Operator Position Summary:The Lead machine operator is responsible for supporting and training a small group of machine operators.Lead CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Verify components are produced to print (dimensional and visual inspection)Change tools.Make offsets.Assist with the operations by monitoring the CNC machine operators. Load material and remove scrap.Fill out various paperwork.Simultaneous operation of multiple machinesMinor troubleshootingPart inspectionLead CNC Machine Operator Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):Proven experience with lathe/mill turning machines.2-4 years’ experience with Swiss Screw Machines is preferred. (Tornos, Star, Citizen) Proven experience with lathe/mill turning machines.Experience using the Fanuc control preferred. Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints (GD&T symbols).Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills Etc.)Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Good communication skills and positive can-do attitudeMust be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
