Job Summary
A highly skilled and experienced Meteorological Subject Matter Expert and Technical Advisor is sought to provide technical portfolio growth and expert guidance for government and commercial engagements exploring innovative solutions for domain specific problems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of meteorological scientific methodologies and their application to advanced technical challenges, and complex operational environments. This role requires a proven ability to bridge the gap between strategic objectives and technical execution, ensuring the seamless integration of technology into customer-critical activities.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Support the development of internal modeling and simulation approaches as they relate to complete life-cycle engineering services and company product development.
- Translate complex, emerging customer needs into actionable technical service concepts.
- Proactively identify gaps in customer capabilities and align internal competencies to address them.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer priorities, initiatives, pain-points, and emerging technology thrust areas.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, as needed, in support of customer engagements with Business Development and Operations Departments.
- Participate in gate reviews to provide key insight and guidance on customer engagement and capture strategy.
- Drive the creation of compelling, differentiated technical approaches.
- Support pre-proposal solution design sessions (“solutioning scrums”) to integrate R&D, systems engineering, and field ops perspectives.
- Identify and incubate internal IRAD/technology investments that directly support known or anticipated IC mission gaps.
- Work internally with cross-functional groups such as Business Development, Operations, and other Subject Matter Experts to proactively develop innovative technical approaches leveraging and incorporating new and emerging technologies to help to solve key customer issues and increase operational efficiencies.
- Work with Business Development and IRAD team on SBIR/STTR/OTA pursuit efforts to provide key inputs and subject matter expertise to guide solution development to advance the TRL of new and existing products or solutions.
- Contribute to corporate growth strategy by recommending target agencies, missions, or technology areas based on solution trends and customer demand.
- Must be a US citizen.
- MS in Meteorology.
- Must have a current TS/SCI clearance or a TS with the ability to achieve SCI.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in meteorological operations support, with a significant portion in a senior technical leadership role.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of DOW, IC, commercial structure, missions, needs, and technical advances.
- Skills: Demonstrated expertise in applying highly complex technical solutions to operational success.
- Travel on an as-needed basis.
- Successful background and drug screening check.
- PhD in Meteorology.
- Technical background in meteorological sciences or similar field.
- DOW, IC, NASA, NOAA or similar leadership experience/role.
- Experience with technology transition in support of customer/agency needs.
