Oral Surgery Assistant

Zeidan Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our progressive, patient-focused Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice. This role encompasses a blend of front and back office responsibilities, offering a dynamic and fulfilling work environment. Our ideal candidate oral surgery office experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including general anesthesia and patient recovery.
• Prepare and maintain sterile/disinfected instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Obtain dental radiographs (X-rays), CBCT scans, and impressions to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Initiate intravenous (IV) therapy as directed by the oral surgeon, following department protocols.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients to support optimal oral health and recovery.
• Discuss post-operative care and discharge patients after recovery from anesthesia.
• EMR charting
• Assist with front office tasks, including greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-ups.
• Present treatment plans and fees to patients, and handle payment processing.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies.
• Ensure the surgical suite is prepared and cleaned, maintaining a high standard of office cleanliness.
• Continuously meet role-specific competency requirements to maintain skills and knowledge.

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
