We provide direction, precision and surgical solutions focused on your safety, well-being and overall oral health.
Our office is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented dental assistant to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Safely monitor patients under general anesthesia
- Prepare operating rooms
- Review dental and medical history
- Tray setups for surgical procedures
- Handle specimens and prepare them to be sent to the laboratory for analysis
- Document all medical procedures accurately and maintain detailed medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Recover patients
- Pre /post operative instruction and patient care
- Take Panoramic images/ CT scans/ PAs
Full Time Monday -Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-1:00pm, NO nights OR weekends.
You will only be considered if you meet the following requirements:
- X-ray certification license is required.
- California DA or RDA certification required.
- BLS/CPR card.
- PALS certification.
Position requires travel to our sister locations, Rancho Bernardo/Encinitas/Rancho Penasquitos.
Pay TBD based on years of experience.
Summary
As a Surgical Assistant, you will be integral to the surgical team, providing essential chairside support and ensuring a sterile environment during procedures. Your core skills in dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques will be vital in assisting with various dental surgeries. With certifications such as Registered Dental Assistant, PALS, CPR, and BLS, you will ensure patient safety and comfort. Your proficiency in EMR systems and knowledge of pediatric dentistry will enhance patient care and streamline operations.
