What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at ZealoTech People?
Wants/must-haves: (These are their must-haves)
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience maintaining the general ledger and posting journal entries
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience performing account reconciliations and resolving variances
- Experience supporting Sales and Use Tax reporting and filings
- Experience with inventory, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and cash management schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formulas
- Software: Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Excel formulas, Accounting systems / ERP software preferred, but no specific system listed
Nice to Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Corporate or multi-entity accounting experience
- Experience with accounting systems or ERP software
