Position Overview:
The Staff Manager is responsible for departmental oversight including performance management, coaching/training solutions, enforcing performance improvement plans, and ensuring middle management is properly communicating over policy changes to the staff and any shortcomings as they arise so action can be taken immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional verbal and written communication at all times
- Assist in building and refining internal workflows and processes to support firm-wide efficiency and scalability.
- Complete department audits with required reporting tools to ensure staff compliance with ZLO policies and procedures
- Proactively communicate department concerns during leadership meetings and escalate to HR where necessary
- Implement performance metrics and monitor staff adherence to success criteria
- Follow-up with staff who do not meet expectations and offer resources
- Prepare department score cards ahead of leadership meetings to accurately report on staff performance, progress, and policy adherence
- Offer supervision and support to middle managers via Level 10 Meetings and one on one supervision
- Support performance reviews for department staff
- Assist with policy creation and reinforcement as needed
- Additional duties as assigned by AJZ
Qualifications:

- Collaboration skills to effectively liaise between departments and the Founder
- Discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive legal, business, and personal information
- Ability to compile and analyze data to assess organizational trends
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years administrative experience
- 1 year in the legal industry preferred but not required
- 3 years supervisory experience in an office setting with multifaceted teams with 20 members
Physical Demands of the Job:
While performing job duties, staff may be sitting for an extended period of time. Job responsibilities may also require occasional lifting up to 10 lbs. Frequent use of telephone and computer is required.
Benefits:
Health Insurance coverage is available 60 days after hire. New Employees receive Zayed Law Offices clothing after 4 weeks of employment. PTO, both vacation and sick days are available after 6 months of employment. Annual paid time off consists of 2 weeks of vacation, 2 days of sick leave and 4 flex hours. Working lunches are provided on occasion to support employee health and productivity.
Performance Standards & Review:
All Zayed Law Offices Employees complete a 90-day probationary period in their employment to ensure that they are in the right role and in compliance with the basic position requirements. All employees have a semi-annual review in which their professional progress in the law office is monitored. Reviews are kept in HR files for the employees and are confidential.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
