Zarzaur & Schwartz, P.C. is one of Alabama's leading creditors' rights firms, and we're growing our litigation team. We do high-quality, high-volume work, and we do it the right way. We're looking for a licensed Alabama attorney who takes ownership of their cases, thrives in a fast-paced and structured environment, and wants to build alongside people who value integrity and accountability. This is a great seat for a newer attorney ready to get on their feet in court, and we'll support you in getting there.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a portfolio of litigation cases from filing through resolution
- Appear in court for trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Draft and respond to pleadings that move cases forward
- Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel and defendants
- Review, sign, and approve firm pleadings in states where you're licensed
- Review new placements and approve initial client correspondence and legal requirements
- Own case status, questions, and issue resolution — escalating when appropriate
- Stay current on federal and state legal requirements where you practice
WHAT YOU BRING
- Active license and good standing with the Alabama State Bar, additional licensed states a plus
- 1–2 years of litigation experience preferred, but not required — recent grads encouraged to apply
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and a professional courtroom demeanor
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
BONUS POINTS
- Collections or recoveries experience
- Litigation experience in a high-volume firm
