Creditors’ Rights law firm seeking an individual to fill the Associate Attorney position for our Alabama practice. Licensure is required with admission to the Alabama Bar. This position is a State-Level Attorney whose focus will be a combination of review of information at placement of files to determine collection eligibility and Alabama litigation work.

- Reviews correspondence and files to determine if suit appropriate.
- Reviews answers and prepares discovery and dispositive motions.
- Manages all aspects of preparing for and conducting of trials.
- Attends court hearings throughout the state of Alabama.
- Provide analysis and advises on legal and regulatory risks.
- Represents clients in pre-suit and post-judgement matters.
- Writes, reviews and edits reports, opinions, correspondence, articles and other documents.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws with experience in collection law and/or significant courtroom experience.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge in Bankruptcy Law, Foreclosure Law and/or the FDCPA/FCRA/TCPA is a plus.
- Managing shifting priorities in a fast paced, results driven environment is required.
- Maintenance of professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
- Ability to prioritize and organize a high volume of information
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
- Requires a background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings.
- Requires a JD in law; bar admission in Alabama. Preferable location is Birmingham or Huntsville.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequently required to talk and/or hear, and use hands to type, handle, or touch objects
- Regularly required to stand and walk and may be required to stop, bend, or reach above the shoulders
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times
