Senior Estimator

Location: King of Prussia, PA
Industry: General Contractor (Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Life Sciences)
Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000 bonus potential excellent benefits

Overview

A leading general contractor in the King of Prussia area is seeking a Senior Estimator to play a key role in preconstruction and bidding efforts across a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, education, commercial, and life sciences work.

This position is ideal for someone who can lead estimates, mentor junior staff, and contribute to winning work in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Manage quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid strategy
• Oversee subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and scope alignment
• Participate in client meetings and preconstruction presentations
• Provide value engineering recommendations and cost analysis
• Mentor and support junior estimators
• Maintain and improve estimating processes and cost databases

Qualifications

• 6 years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong background in healthcare, education, commercial, or life sciences projects
• Proven ability to lead estimates and manage multiple bids
• Strong understanding of construction costs, methods, and market conditions
• Proficiency with estimating tools and Excel
• Strong communication and leadership skills
