Project Manager - Steel Contractor

Location: Campbell, CA
Base Salary: $125,000 – $155,000

Our client is a leading structural and miscellaneous steel contractor serving general contractors and developers throughout the Bay Area. They specialize in design-build, fabrication, and erection of steel structures for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.

They are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of multiple projects from award through completion, ensuring safe, profitable, and high-quality execution.

• Manage multiple steel fabrication and erection projects simultaneously, from estimating handoff through closeout.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and change orders.

• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and field teams to ensure drawings, materials, and timelines align.

• Serve as the main point of contact for general contractors, owners, and vendors.

• Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Oversee procurement of steel and subcontracted services.

• Conduct regular site visits and monitor field progress to maintain safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

• Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, and progress billings.

• Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders.

• 5 or more years of experience managing structural or miscellaneous steel projects, including fabrication and erection.

• Strong knowledge of AISC standards, shop drawings, and erection sequencing.

• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

• Proficient with project management software and tools such as MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Base salary of $125,000 to $155,000, depending on experience.
