The Monarch San Antonio, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. Position Overview
The Houseperson supports the housekeeping department by ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, well-stocked, and maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential to creating a seamless and luxurious guest experience, assisting room attendants and other team members with efficiency and discretion.
Essential Functions
- Assist Room Attendants with cleaning, stocking, and preparing guest rooms to luxury standards
- Replenish amenities, towels, and linen items in guest rooms as directed
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain public areas, corridors, elevators, and service areas
- Collect and transport soiled linens, trash, and recyclables to designated areas
- Ensure housekeeping carts and storage areas are organized and fully stocked
- Report maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, or guest requests promptly
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and hotel standard operating procedures
- Support turndown service and special guest requests when required
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with guests and colleagues at all times
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Basic English communication skills; additional languages an asset
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
