Software Engineer II & III (Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking multiple Software Engineer's to support the development and integration of radar software capabilities for the Golden Dome initiative. This role focuses on real‑time, high‑performance software development for high powered long range radar systems and the integration of existing missile defense radar capabilities into a unified enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern C development, real‑time systems, and software support for complex radar architectures.

Work Environment:

Full‑time, on‑site role in a laboratory environment in Moorestown, NJ or Syracuse, NY supporting advanced radar development and integration efforts for a next‑generation defense initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain real‑time, multi‑processor radar software using modern C or comparable object‑oriented languages.
• Support GPU‑accelerated processing (CUDA), performance optimization, and high‑throughput data handling.
• Contribute to software integration for S‑Band radar systems and legacy capabilities within an enterprise architecture.
• Support automated testing, code optimization, and software quality initiatives.
• Utilize Agile development practices including version control with Git/GitLab.
• Develop and maintain software in Linux environments with comprehensive technical documentation.
• Use MATLAB and Python for algorithm prototyping, data analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with systems, hardware, radar, and test engineers in a lab environment.
• Support software integration and testing activities as part of end‑to‑end system verification.
  
  

Clearance Requirement:

• Active Secret security clearance required.
  
  

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Level 3 preferred: 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Level 2 acceptable: 2–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  
  

Technical Qualifications:

• Strong experience with modern C development for real‑time or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with multi‑processor systems and GPU acceleration (CUDA) or similar technologies.
• Experience working in Linux environments using Git‑based version control.
• Strong analytical and mathematical foundation supporting algorithm development and optimization.
• Experience using MATLAB and Python for prototyping and data analysis.
  
  

Compensation:

• Pay Band for Level II (2-5 years experience): $130,000 -$160,000
• Pay Band for Level III (5 years of experience): $160,000 - $200,000
