Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Manager of Technical Solutions for a permanent role supporting a large insurance provider in Frederick, MD. This role will be responsible for executing the creation of cutting edge platforms to drive digital transformation alongside explosive growth. This is a hybrid position, on site Tu/W/Th every week, remote on M/F.

- Lead development and implementation of digital platforms using microservices, cloud, AI/ML, and DevOps
- Build scalable, high-performing, secure platforms
- Manage scrum and agile delivery, ensuring adherence to sprint goals, continuous improvement
- Execute engineering design practices ensuring architectural and design standards, overseeing and applying best practices in software engineering
- Oversee growth of engineering team to double in size, building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineers and quality assurance personnel
- Work with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals
- Partner with departments across the organization including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and PMO
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, researching and evaluating future solutions for enhancement and improved capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- 5 years of experience heading complex technical initiatives in digital transformation, AI/ML, microservices, cloud, etc.
- 3 years of experience in managing large engineering teams
- Background and experience in software engineering, including Java/.NET, and preferably Angular as well
- Demonstrated experience driving digital transformation, risk management, technical governance, and policy compliance
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to manage fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Annual salary: $140,000-150,000 depending on experience
