Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) and a faith based, non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving at-risk youth.

Role & Responsibilities
- Effectively assist YFT teachers and school administration in the education of at-risk youth in a residential setting.
- Use techniques, strategies, methods, and resources to assist teachers with teaching required material to students as directed.
- Serve as a substitute teacher as requested by the school Principal on an as needed basis.
- Provide healthy and appropriate role modeling while being attentive to not continually single out an individual; either negatively for discipline or positively for personal assistance.
- Work closely with the teacher and other staff to ensure that the education program is successful.
- Keep teachers informed of the progress and specific areas of concentration for each student.
- Monitor and supervise the lunch period during an academic day.
- Provide clerical support to school administration, guidance, and special education personnel as requested.
- Attendance at all training mandated by YFT.
- All duties and responsibilities will support meeting the structured program of care outlined in DBHDS and DSS state standards (DBHDS: 12VAC 35-46-800; DSS: 22 VAC 40-151-720).
- Other duties as assigned by the CEO, Principal, or Supervisor.
- Required Trainings: All Trainings required by YFT, Licensing and Governmental Agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis being on secondary education.
- Possess knowledge in your field of instruction and/or administration.
- Possess skills and abilities to positively interact with students, maintain discipline, and promote a positive learning environment.
- Possess the ability to maintain all required documentation.
- Skills in oral and written communication
