Position Summary
The Ministry Site Director is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he will seek to implement relational ministry actions to develop Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people within the context of their YFC ministry model.

Maintain accurate attendance and youth interaction records in the YFC Youth Section database.
Compile and report program outcomes and statistics for internal use and external funding partners.

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
A Budget Manager is responsible to align all financial resources to the YFC/USA strategic plan in accordance with the delegation and direction of the Division Head. The Budget Manager is responsible for coding, approval and financial decision-making for their assigned Division, Department and/or Action Plan budget. When a budget is overfunded or underfunded, the Budget Manager is responsible to course correct though the MCCR process.
Physical Requirements
Travel to and from ministry site locations and or student appointments may be required. Occasional travel for Training Conferences may be required.

Essential Functions
Ministry
- Provide feedback for JJM programming on Long Island.
- Execute ministry activities in alignment with YFC’s mission and standards.
- Support volunteer teams: recruit, train, schedule.
- Conduct RMAs (Relational Ministry Activities) with youth in compliance with YFC protocols.
- Meet with current and potential partners to strengthen and expand outreach opportunities.
- Provide trauma-informed, consistent programming in detention centers, group homes, and aftercare settings.
- Support the spiritual health of youth, volunteers, and the ministry itself.
- Live and lead in alignment with the YFC Statement of Faith.
- Model a Christ-centered life marked by humility, compassion, and integrity.
- Facilitate prayer, worship, and spiritual development opportunities within the ministry.
- Encourage volunteer discipleship and spiritual growth.

Position Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills in each of Youth for Christ’s Cultural Attributes (Christ-Centered, Kingdom Inspired Diversity, Joyful Camaraderie, Relentless Trust, Enduring Humility and Courageous Faithfulness)
- Experience in youth ministry, chaplaincy, or social services preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational, administrative, and volunteer management ability
- Trauma-informed care and/or restorative justice training is a plus
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in ministry, social work, psychology, or related field
- Preferred: Prior work with incarcerated or justice-impacted youth

- Church presentations
- Sending personal appeals (letters, notes, calls)
- Building relationships with donors and inviting them to events
- Identifying and cultivating potential supporters from one’s personal and professional circles

Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, hand held devices, copy machine, and computer printer.
- No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may be required. Good manual dexterity required for the use of computers, mobile devices, and other productivity technologies.
- The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer and phone are normal.
