Essential Duties Of The Job
- Professionally answer telephone, promptly respond to or relay messages, and direct caller to appropriate person.
- Greet guests and general public in a professional, friendly manner.
- Proficient in computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products.
- Perform bookkeeping duties using QB, including deposits, paying bills, payroll, creating reports and information needed for tax filings.
- Conduct most banking transactions including balancing bank statements.
- Maintain donor software program, Donor Perfect, including data entry, donor acknowledgement, and creating reports.
- Maintain and keep up to date payroll file, volunteer file, and DOT driver pool file.
- Maintain and update Youth for Christ national data program, IMPACT.
- Monitor inventory and order office supplies.
- Keep front office picked up and clean, including workspace and conference room.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in both busy and slow times.
- Positive and professional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher).
- Bookkeeping knowledge.
- QuickBooks experience.
- Strong organizational skills, making effective use of slow times.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work independently or as a part the team as needed.
- Professional appearance and grooming.
- Possession of high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Computer, accounting, bookkeeping, and QuickBooks training.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and work at a computer station for long periods of time.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
- Valid Michigan Driver License.
