Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Lewiston and Auburn.
- The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
- The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
- This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.50/mile), and activity reimbursement.
Hourly Rate: $21 per hour
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills is highly preferred; knowledge of electronic health record systems (EHR) is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
- Position requires reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
