What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Youngblood Automation?
At Youngblood Automation, a division of H&P Technologies, we’re more than a distributor—we’re problem solvers helping customers power, move, and automate the world around them. From fluid power and motion control to cutting-edge automation solutions, our work supports manufacturers across a wide range of industries.
We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative who’s curious, people-focused, and excited to learn. If you enjoy helping customers, building relationships, and growing your skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment, this could be a great next step for you.
What You’ll Do
- Learn technical products with hands-on training and ongoing education
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and sales teammates
- Develop business, communication, and problem-solving skills
- See how your work directly impacts customer success and company growth
- Have clear opportunities to grow as your knowledge and confidence expand
- Support customers via phone, email, and chat with product questions, quotes, and orders
- Help customers find the right solution, not just take orders
- Track and follow up on open orders, delivery timing, and special requests
- Work closely with outside sales, purchasing, and vendors
- Learn and grow your technical product knowledge through training and experience
- Use goals and metrics as tools for development—not pressure
- Build trust and rapport with customers and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to know everything—we’ll train you. We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A customer-first mindset and positive attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and business software
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical products
Experience & Education
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (business or technical) preferred
- Customer service, administrative, or inside sales experience is a plus
