Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Upper Level Math Tutor to join our in-person faculty team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mathematics and enjoys working with motivated middle and high school students on subjects such as:
- Pre-Calculus
- AP Calculus AB/BC
- AP Statistics
- Algebra II / Trigonometry
- AMC 10/12, AIME, Math Olympiad (optional but a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective in-person tutoring sessions
- Provide personalized instruction based on student goals and learning styles
- Prepare students for class assessments, AP Exams, and competitions
- Track student progress and communicate with parents and the YSI admin team
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a positive attitude
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a mathematics-related field (Math, Engineering, Physics, etc.)
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring upper-level math preferred
- Familiarity with AP curriculum and competition math a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be available to work in person
Compensation
The pay rate for this position will be determined based on your educational background and relevant experience. Please note: the compensation range listed on really is an estimate and may not reflect the actual pay for this role.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
