Position Summary
This role is a senior manager position within the Operations organization and is responsible for managing the entire supply chain including demand and supply planning, strategic procurement, and inventory control. The Director of Supply Chain will report directly to the VP of Operations and will lead a team of planners, buyers, and inventory control specialists. It is the responsibility of the Director of Supply Chain to ensure the business is exceeding 95% on-time delivery to our customers through timely planning and procurement, exceed annual PPV targets, and to exceed monthly inventory targets. The supply chain director is to serve as the strategy lead, setting a vision for a SIOP process, identifying ERP/MRP improvements, and hiring and developing a world class team.

Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
- Build and coach a customer centric, and performance oriented culture throughout the supply chain organization.
- Drive the team to own their area and or process as well as their results.
- Perform talent reviews, identify high performers, and create development plans and a talent funnel in support of succession planning.
- Set goals at the functional and team level and implement a consistent approach to feedback and performance management.
- Continuously evolve business process, standard work, and assess lessons learned in order to leverage best practices.
- Create and sustain an appropriate training program to drive effective and efficient functional performance.
- Develop a robust supply chain capable of meeting the quality, delivery, cost, and inventory goals of the business.
- Sustain and improve the category management, supplier selection, and supplier evaluation process.
- Develop productivity plans to deliver year over year cost reductions for both direct and indirect purchased materials.
- Lead purchasing organization in the escalation and resolution of supply chain issues.
- Sustain a robust inventory control process to ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to regulatory and traceability requirements.
- Identify productivity opportunities and drive best practices into the inventory control and logistics organization.
- Ensure integrity and adherence to inventory cycle count program and support root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the Sales & Marketing organization, along with the Business Unit teams.
- Ensure sales forecasts and master production schedules are maintained in order to properly align organization resources.
- Coordinate revenue attainment activities within the current period in order to meet near term financial targets.
- Monitor build plan accuracy and work to proactively address aging inventory risks.
- Develop attainable production plans which are aligned with customer needs.
- Facilitate collaboration between plan development within the planning organization and plan attainment in the production organization.
- Identify opportunities for organizational and process improvements in planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Build a supply chain strategy to support high visibility OEM orders as well as low visibility spare and repair orders.
- This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
- Bachelors in Engineering Technology, Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, business, or equivalent required.
- Master’s in Business Administration or Master of Science preferred.
- 10 years’ experience with Operations or Supply Chain Management required.
- Negotiations experience and Vendor Management experience required.
- APICS CSCP (or CPIM) preferred
- Reports to the Vice President, Operations and works with other senior level managers.
- Has leadership responsibility for: supplier development, supplier quality, purchasing, planning, inventory control, and logistics teams.
- Will interface with customers occasionally and suppliers extensively.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
