Facility Maintenance Technician

We are actively hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at Young Automotive Group. Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working on a variety of projects? Maintenance, repair, construction, or mechanical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for basic facility upkeep, repairs, and maintenance across our dealerships. This role will support locations primarily between Logan and Bountiful, with occasional trips to Idaho. A company work truck will be provided for job-related travel.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage – Examples: Window – Door – or Wall Repair.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems such as using a sealant on a flat roof.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
• Assist with snow and ice removal, including plowing snow during the winter season

Qualifications:

• Plumbing knowledge to address Leaks – Clogs – or other Drainage Problems
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Grounds keeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or customers in a pleasant manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license and have an insurable driving record.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must feel comfortable using ladders and other lift equipment.
• Must be open to work flexible hours (Snow removal - etc.).
• Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
