Under the direction of the Site & Assistant Supervisor, provides creative, fun and innovative learning experience for school-age children (kindergarten through 8th grade).
Leads and supervises a designated group of participants in various activities, field trips and games.
Leads participants in games, arts and crafts projects, special events, and other activities as assigned.
Responsible for proper care and clean-up of the facility, equipment, and supplies that are utilized within the site.
May direct the support staff as needed.
Must exercise considerable tact and courtesy when interacting with program participants, parents and support staff.
Position is work-as-required, no benefits.Must be physically able to operate common office equipment such as personal computers, typewriters, copiers, calculators, etc. Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle. Much of the work is sedentary in nature and involves sitting at a desk or in front of a computer, while doing administrative work. When retrieving supplies and monitoring programs and facilities, work involves some bending, stooping, climbing of stairs, and walking. There is occasional lifting of boxes and tables and chairs, usually nothing weighing any more than 50 pounds.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Some experience in recreation work and professional child management experience in a classroom or group setting is preferred.
Requires a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred.
This job is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment checks to include criminal history, background and DMV record checks.
Must be able to work a revised schedule when needed and maintain consistent attendance throughout the six-week program.
