Under the supervision of the Clinical Director of Mental Health Services, the Family Resource
Center Clinician (FRC Clinician) is responsible for performing therapy in a manner that is
consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field and the YMCA of
San Francisco’s mission. The FRC Clinician supports the ongoing development and
implementation of the Family Resource Center, ensuring equitable access to services within
the community. The FRC Clinician is responsible for providing culturally responsive and
trauma-informed mental health support to individuals and families, with a focus on
strengthening resilience and addressing challenges and a commitment to fostering an
inclusive and respectful environment for all individuals. This role requires strong
interpersonal skills to build trust and collaborate effectively with families and community
partners.


With the help of a local consulting agency, our team of community leaders and staff have
made accountability and affinity work central to our purpose and believe that the only way
forward in building a better workplace reflects the vision of change we want to see in the
larger community in working towards racial equity

 

Salary Range $32.50 - $39.00 Per Hour 

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling or Psychology.
• At least 1 year post graduate school, working with youth and their families
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting
laws.
• At least 2-3 years of experience providing services to individuals and families in
community-based settings.
• Active registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
(BBS).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural,
socioeconomic, and generational backgrounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate
and organized documentation.
• Training and experience in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, and the ability
to manage challenging situations constructively.
• YMCA-approved CPR and First Aid Certification (to be completed within 30 days of
hire).


Preferred Qualifications


Demonstrated proficiency in implementing evidence-based practices for family counseling
and support services, including trauma-informed care
