What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Experience-Senior Center position at YMCA of Greater Cincinnati?
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day basis, a program manager at a senior center developing, implementing and overseeing at the Colerain Senior Center and Clippard Family YMCA.
- Developing programs, events and trips that leverage volunteer members and vendor sponsorship
- Work with health-care providers to ensure senior members insurance is supported through partnerships (Silver Sneakers, Renew Active Silver and Fit Fitness Plans provided by Health Carriers, & Council on Aging.
- Recruit volunteers, talk with staff members, attend board meetings and meet with community agencies.
- Teach an AOA (any format) Group Exercise class
- Perform hands-on duties such as talking with seniors, participating in recreational activities, having meals with program participants.
- Mediate disputes between staff and program participants and coach new volunteers.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Management/ Supervisory Skills
- 2-3 years of experience working with seniors.
