SUMMARY: The purpose of this job to satisfy customer requirements by maintaining and setting CNC tooling for production purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Pickup, clean and preset tooling to blueprints
· Assist with monitoring tool wear
· Assist with tooling and supplies inventory
· Other responsibilities may be assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Ability to read blue prints
· Familiar with CNC tool setting
· Familiar with CNC tool types and inserts
· Familiar with monitoring tool wear
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or approval of the Operations Manager.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
