What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at YEN Group?
SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to satisfy customer requirements by managing the quality of product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning process including advising teams and creating related documentation such as PFMEA’s, Flowcharts and Control Plans
· Maintain contact with customers and suppliers to assist in resolving concerns and advanced quality issues if requested by immediate Supervisor. Travel to these locations if required
· Assist in developing sampling procedures and forms or instruction for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
· Maintains and updates all quality documents, including ISO90001 procedure documentation
· Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions related to quality activities
· Other responsibilities may be assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:. May directly supervise employees in the Quality department. Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, directing employees, and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree or two years experience performing Quality Engineering duties. Experience with CNC machining.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts.
REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
