Position Description:

The Quality Control team exists to ensure safe, compliant, and quality roof installations. The role of the Quality Control Inspector is to review contract instructions, document the progress of the roof replacement, and upload photographs into the job file.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and review installation instructions for each job assigned
• Review job site materials for accuracy
• Take photographs of the property and any pre-existing damage
• Monitor job sites for safety compliance
• Upload daily photos
• Complete and upload daily progress reports
• Complete ongoing training and education related to installs and safety
• Assist coworkers as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Assistant Manager

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor work environment, sometimes in the elements
• This position requires operation of a motor vehicle
• This position regularly sets up, ascends, and descends ladders and climb roofs safely
• At times, this position could require medium to heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs)

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Requires valid driver’s license with a proven safe driving record; this position will require background and motor vehicle record screening

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Communication skills- strong communication and listening skills are vital to this position
• Computer skills - comfortable with data entry, photo taking, uploading photos and documents
• Organization and scheduling - this position will require organizing your day to be efficient and punctual at installs
• OSHA knowledge or OSHA 10 certification a plus
• Detail oriented –requires great attention to detail is needed to avoid & recognize errors
• Safety-ladder safety, vehicle safety and job site safety is of utmost importance to this position
• Integrity – at times the QC Inspector will have access to sensitive information on customers, subcontractors and the company, and this information should be used appropriately and kept confidential.
• Ability to analyze information and solve problems
• Teamwork mindset, with a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Knowledge of roofing systems, roofing terminology required
• Proven experience in quality control or inspection within the construction industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Certification in Quality Control or related field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
