YBLA Program Development Fellowship
The YBLA Program Development Fellowship is designed to provide recent YBLA college graduates with a unique opportunity to acquire valuable experience and skills across diverse facets of nonprofit program development, partnership engagement, fundraising, and community impact.
Fellowship Details
- Type: Part-time
- Work hours: up to 30 hours per week
- Work type: Hybrid - Remote & In-person as required
- Reports to: CEO, John Martin
- Invoice Approval: Tammy Martin
- Pay: $25 per hour, reported weekly hours to Tammy Martin on Wednesdays
- Pay Cycle: Monthly (last Friday of the month). Invoice must be submitted monthly
- Fellowship Period: May 2026 – December 2026
Fellowship Focus
This fellowship is focused on program development, recruitment, corporate partnership engagement, donor relations, and service initiatives. Our objective is to strengthen YBLA’s Ambassador and leadership pipeline in Atlanta and Charlotte while increasing engagement with corporate partners, donors, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities to increase recruitment of YBLA Ambassadors in the Atlanta and Charlotte regions.
- Assist with planning and executing recruiting events, leadership workshops, and student engagement activities.
- Support the planning and implementation of YBLA recruiting conferences and outreach initiatives.
- Assist with Career Exploration Day planning and coordination, including communication and engagement with corporate partners and volunteers.
- Help strengthen relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners through meetings, follow-up communication, and engagement opportunities.
- Meet with, call, and communicate with donors, sponsors, and prospective partners to support relationship development and stewardship.
- Assist in planning and hosting networking events, leadership events, and engagement experiences where YBLA leaders and partners can connect.
- Support service projects and community impact initiatives involving Ambassadors, college students, and young professionals.
- Enter and maintain donor, partner, and engagement information in YBLA management systems and databases.
- Assist with event logistics, outreach tracking, follow-up communication, and general program coordination.
- Provide administrative and operational support for YBLA programming and partnership initiatives as needed.
- Attend YBLA events and activities in Charlotte and Atlanta to provide onsite support and engagement.
Collaboration and Reporting
The participant will report directly to CEO John Martin and work closely with YBLA leadership, program staff, coaches, and market leaders in both Charlotte and Atlanta. The fellow will collaborate with corporate partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders to support YBLA’s leadership development and engagement efforts.
