Equipment Engineering Technician

As part of our expansion in the U.S., XNRGY is seeking a qualified Equipment Engineering Technician to join our team in Mesa, Arizona. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, this role will support manufacturing and production teams by evaluating, implementing, developing, and maintaining solutions for complex manufacturing processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can support equipment reliability, troubleshoot production issues, assist with new equipment start-up, and help ensure our manufacturing equipment is running safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and program Press Brake, CNC, Laser Cutting, and Punch Press equipment.
• Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to increase machine reliability across existing and new equipment.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and support repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make machine adjustments to ensure dimensional compliance of parts.
• Maintain production rate targets and perform machine changeovers at the appropriate time.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine equipment specifications and production requirements.
• Support new equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
• Develop and implement maintenance practices for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
• Leverage equipment diagnostic systems to monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with vendors for remote support, quoting, spare parts, and technical troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and help develop maintenance programs based on best practices from manufacturing and related industries.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance, reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
• Participate in health and safety programs and promote safe work practices on the production floor.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a similar equipment technician, manufacturing technician, maintenance technician, or engineering technician role.
• Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and adjust manufacturing equipment to support production requirements.
• Knowledge of TPM, failure diagnosis, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability practices.
• Experience with Salvagnini and Trumpf machines is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of materials, including raw steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production job orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn, improve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with an improvement-oriented attitude.
