Location: Southeast Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $32.00/hr
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Door Technician to independently install, service, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial door systems and operators. This role requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead, sectional, high-speed, pressure-resistant, and passage doors
- Diagnose and repair door operators, motors, control panels, sensors, and safety devices
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Train and mentor entry-level technicians
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of commercial or industrial door technician experience
- Strong knowledge of door operators and automated control systems
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
- Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screenings (including hair follicle testing)
- Certification to operate aerial/boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturer certifications
- Experience with high-speed or specialty doors
- OSHA safety training
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders
- Ability to perform physical labor in industrial environments
Work Environment:
- Industrial and commercial job sites
- Exposure to machinery, electrical systems, and varying weather conditions
