Multi-Billion Dollar international manufacturing company located on the East Side of Battle Creek is looking for a Materials/Packaging Engineer
JOB DUTIES
- Work closely with suppliers to meet our packaging requirements for safely shipping key automotive components
- Monitor production materials to ensure adequate inventory levels
- Monitor suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that delivery schedules are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely basis. Track packaging non conformances, including damage reports and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences
- Strong expertise in packaging design, supply chain management, and problem-solving skills to address non-conformances, track issues, and work with dealers on resolving claims.
- Work with suppliers to design and implement packaging solutions that ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of our products
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement while insuring that CI activities are planned, implemented, measured, reported and reviewed in the respective area of responsibility
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years working as a Materials, Supply Chain or Packaging Engineering in a plant manufacturing environment
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
- Emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the packaging process
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
