Position Summary:
Leads and assists with packaging activities of production engaged in meeting specific marketing, production, shipping, and cost requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the supervisor with daily needs
- Supports the supervisor with staff
- Ability to manage the production area and staff when the supervisor isn’t present
- Trains and assists workers in warehouse activities
- Inspects work in progress and completed work for accuracy
- Evaluates and assists in the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals
- Control workflow on the production floor
- Advise Material Handlers on priorities, work orders
- Understand and manage work orders, computer, and scale questions
- Clear understanding of how to run the Box On Demand machine
- Ability to operate and process RAW orders
- Ability to: run all cells, understand dispatch, daily needs, and operate a WAV, sit-down/stand-up fork truck
- Basic understanding of the Daily Report
- Be able to explain and demonstrate proper packaging techniques
- Signs off on employee training sheets
- Ability to open and close the facility when needed
- Strong leadership capability
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Oracle credentials
- Keys and code to the facilty
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
1 years of relevant work experience
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Production/Manufacturing environment
- Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 55 lbs on regular basis
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
