Construction Estimator:
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves analyzing blueprints, project specifications, and other documentation to assess the time, materials, labor, and equipment required for a project. The Estimator works closely with the project management team during the pre-construction process to ensure all costs are accurately accounted for and that the project stays within budget.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, blueprints, and site surveys.
- Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain cost databases for labor, material, and equipment pricing.
- Assist in determining the project’s scope, budget, and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify any potential changes or discrepancies in the project’s design.
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and evaluate bids.
- Ensure all costs are accurately recorded and tracked to maintain project budgets.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure they align with project specifications and budget.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
- Ability to conduct site visits, including some physical activity, such as walking or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of the industry’s best practices and standards.
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
