- HOURS: This is a 40-hour per week, full-time, hourly exempt, year-round position in the Xavier Catholic
- Schools Foundation office, which currently resides at Xavier High School.
- PAY: TBD with experience

- REPORTS TO: XCSF Executive Director
- JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is the heartbeat of daily campaign operations at the Xavier Catholic Schools
- Foundation (XCSF). The Appeals Manager thrives on continual improvement and looks for ways to meet the
- mission, vision, and value expectations. This person is committed to world-class service in both internal and
- external communications and is a growth-mindset individual who cares about making an impact serving the
- organization and its constituents. This person is responsible for the day-to-day campaign initiatives and
- volunteer management for XCSF.
- DUTIES:
- Campaign Leadership:
- o Creates an annual written plans (includes timelines, tactics, budgets) for each Xavier Impact
- Fund campaign, tracks, and reports out to department on fundraising campaigns:
- Xavier Impact Fund Core Campaigns:
- • Parish outreach.
- • Business outreach.
- • Alumni outreach through Forever Saints Day.
- • Parent outreach.
- • Dancing With the Saints (Supportive role, not lead).
- • Volunteer recruitment, management, tracking, and appreciation.
- • Planned Giving: Assists Executive Director with planned giving initiatives, as needed.
- Alumni Board of Directors Management:
- • Alumni Relations: Work alongside Alumni Board of Directors for agenda, minutes, volunteer
- management, and engage department as needed.
- ▪ Calendar, assist and engage Event and Marketing Managers as needed for: Memorial
- Mass, Hall of Fame, Basketball Tournament, Senior Breakfast, Tennis Tournament, Bike
- Ride, ‘Your Connection’, e-news updates, board meetings, etc.
- Volunteer Management:
- • Engage, recruit, train and acknowledge volunteer efforts for Foundation.
- • Intern program oversight.
- Other:
- • Supervise department interns as needed.
- • Attends staff meetings, quarterly committee and board meetings for XCSF and takes minutes.
- • Additional duties as needed.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, philanthropy, or similar field.
- • 3-5 Years of campaign management experience or equivalent.
- • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Bidpal, Database Management (Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge
- NXT preferred), and/or other online giving platforms experience.
- • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals or
- similar is a plus.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/MENTAL PROCESSES:
- Hearing, seeing, sitting, talking, analyzing/interpreting, identifying, observing, mathematical skills, and
- problem-solving. Ability to lift 50 pounds and a valid driver’s license is needed for this role.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- • Professional office environment currently located in Xavier High School.
- • Ability to drive to other local locations throughout Cedar Rapids and Marion for photography,
- interviews, video, and meetings about 30-40 % of this role.
- • This role will interact with a variety of people, ages, and physical locations at schools ranging in ages
- from pre-kindergarten through high school, teachers, administrators, priests, and alumni.
